TEHRAN (ANA)- Education system in Jammu and Kashmir is based on a five-tier model which includes primary schools, middle schools, higher secondary schools, colleges and university. There are 2,880 schools, four universities and about 47 government and three private grant-in-aid degree colleges in Kashmir. Schools start on March 4th and universities start on February 25th. Schools closed for winter vacations on November 28th and universities closed on January 1st.

TEHRAN (ANA)- The silk weaving factory in Srinagar city, where is summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, was established by Maharaja Hari Singh in 1937. It is believed to be Kashmir’s second oldest silk factory. Over 110 workers, technicians and engineers are working for the company which is producing 30 varieties of silk and 1.50 meters production annually.
