“Among the products of our company, the Reach Stacker container moving device is one of the new products which was made for the first time in Iran,” said Reza Riazi Fini, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.

“We estimate that this project will reach the operational stage in the next 5-6 months. This device is a strategic equipment,” he added.

“Our Reach Stacker can stack up to 6 containers simultaneously and also has access to three rows of containers in a row. This product is part of the machinery that operates in ports during 24 hours and if it fails, the port is practically inactive; the 45-ton toplift Reach Stacker is the type of the machine that our company is manufacturing, and it is the most complex model among the reach stacker machines which can handle up to 45 tons of load. This equipment takes and transports the container from the top,” Riazi Fini said.

Reach stacker is one of the vital equipment for dynamic and high speed operation in ports for immediate transfer of container loads. The Reach Stacker device consists of a 6-wheeled truck on which a telescopic opening and closing mast is installed. A device is also attached in front of this mast, which can take and move the container from the corners due to the high degrees of freedom.

A reach stacker is a vehicle used for handling intermodal cargo containers in small terminals or medium-sized ports. Reach stackers can transport a container short distances very quickly and pile them in various rows depending on their access.

Reach stackers have gained ground in container handling in most markets because of their flexibility and higher stacking and storage capacity when compared to forklift trucks. Using reach stackers, container blocks can be kept 4-deep due to second-row access.
