“Ejectors of the system consist of three parts, including a nozzle, a suction chamber, and a horn. The pressure of the driving liquid is reduced by passing through the converging nozzle, and its speed increases, and potential energy is converted into kinetic energy,” said Sassan Davoudi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.

“On the other hand, reducing the fluid pressure coming out of the nozzle creates a vacuum and suction of air and other gases. The sucked gases, together with the liquid coming out of the nozzle, which has high speed and momentum, are compressed and discharged from the end of the ejector as a result of passing through the horn,” he explained.

According to Davoudi, ejectors are used in various industries and for various purposes, the most important of which are for venting and starting pumps, degassing tanks and creating vacuums in them, generating negative pressure in some filters, transferring fluids and gases and creating vacuums in laboratories and chemical industries.

There are three primary types of vacuum systems: vapor ejector, liquid ring vacuum pump, and hybrid systems using a combination of these. The most common system for creating a vacuum is the gas ejector, which uses a high pressure motive gas to entrain a lower pressure stream.
