Nowadays, smart phones are being used frequently by different classes of the society and most men prefer solutions to help them perform the sperm test process at home without going to laboratory centers. The tendency in men to perform the test in the laboratory is low, and they either postpone the test or do not perform it at all.

The Iran-made artificial intelligence-based ‘Spoo’ gadget and application gives men the opportunity to take tests in peace of mind and in their private environment, and they can also view their fertility process in the form of videos and monthly reports and share it with their physician.

The new App analyzes the fertility status of users by reliance on data based on the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO). The mission of ‘Spoo’ is to settle the challenges facing male infertility and break the cultural taboo of discussing the issue in the society.

This gadget provides the user with the key parameters of sperm count, motility and shape and acts as a small home laboratory. Reproducibility and highly accurate data-based assessment of the App enables the user to monitor his fertility improvement. ‘Spoo’ tries to prevent infertility by early diagnosis outside the traditional space of treatment in clinics.

Elaborating on the new application, Hossein Vaseqi Doudran, the CEO of the ‘Spoo’ said, “Spoo gadget and software has been developed fully indigenously and was tested on 700 samples so far with desirable results.”

Three countries of Canada, England and the US are producing the same product by very higher price. While the foreign parallel for Spoo is sold over $150 the Iran-made one can be purchased only $20. It means the Iran-made product is capable of hitting regional markets simply.

Male infertility can be caused by low sperm production, abnormal sperm function or blockages that prevent the delivery of sperm. Illnesses, injuries, chronic health problems, lifestyle choices and other factors may contribute to male infertility.
