Roya Faraji referred to the increase in age as the reason for the decrease in ovarian reserve.

Research shows that 15 to 20 percent of young couples are infertile and have infertility, she said, adding, “Of course, the cause of infertility is variable and sometimes they have female and male factors and sometimes they are unknown.”

Infertile couples will need treatment methods and fertility assistance after receiving initial drug treatments and not getting results, she pointed out.

IVF is one of the reproductive methods in which frozen embryos are used, she noted.

“The mother's body naturally provides these conditions. Of course, the regulation of pregnancy hormones at the time of embryo transfer is important to lead to successful fertilization.”

“Our studies in the field of infertility show that vitamin D deficiency is one of the factors that disrupt childbearing.”

According to the World Health Organization, there are some 186 million infertile couples in the world.

Most women are not aware of their reproductive condition. This is despite the fact that if they observe the preventive issues of infertility, they will not need treatment and can give birth to a healthy child.
