Massoud Saeedi, the head of the board of directors of Simorq Darou Attar pharmaceutical company, elaborated on different products of his firm, saying, “Nano-based medicinal supplements which contain iron are one of the achievements of our specialists.”

He added that Simorq Darou Attar is a pharmaceutical company that produces supplements and herbal medicine.

“At present, in addition to these products, the company has started production of chemical medicine with three production lines of solids (tablets and capsules), semi-solids (ointment and gel) and liquids (syrup, drops and suspension),” Saeedi said.

Earlier this year, researchers of one of the knowledge-based companies in Iran had also launched nano injection of ferrous sulfate iron supplements based on the Swiss-type formulation to treat cases of iron deficiency anemia.

Mehdi Roohi Razelighi, managing director of an Iranian knowledge-based company, told the Iranian media that his company's drug is an iron injection supplement containing iron nanoparticles.

He said that this medicinal product is produced only in a Swiss company which is highly effective in treating the illness.

He said that iron medicine have been imported into the country for several years, noting that as the country is under sanctions, supplying the imported iron injection faces restrictions.

Roohi stated that this drug is prescribed for people suffering from anemia and this product is highly effective in reducing the severity of the disease.
