“Our company, as a leading company, has built a wheat silo simulator for the first time in Iran. We simulate the training processes through this system. Since the issue of training is highly important and time-consuming, we have minimized the training time with this simulator,” Ali Rafa’ti, the managing director of the knowledge-based company stationed at Khorassan Razavi’s Science and Technology Park, told ANA.

Noting that the silo simulator’s design has been derived from a metal silo in Iran, he said, “All parameters that exist in a metal wheat silo have been simulated.”

Rafa’ti elaborated on the features of the silo simulator, saying, “The simulator enjoys the capability to move, load and unload wheat. It is mostly used for training, and in fact, we turn one month of training time in the real environment into one day with the simulator.”

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) announced last December a 17.3% increase in Iran’s grains production in 2022.

In its latest report, FAO referred 25% growth in Iran’s wheat production as well as the country’s 20% growth in rice production in 2022 Crop Year, saying that Iran produced 20.8 million tons of grain this year.

FAO announced a 17.3% growth of grain production in Iran in 2022 as compared to a year ago.

FAO put Iran’s production of grains in 2021 at 17.7 million tons, showing that Iran’s grain production increased this year as compared to the previous year.

It added that Iran’s rice production volume in 2022 exceeded 3.5 million tons, showing a 20 percent more than that of the previous year.

Iran produced 2.9 million tons of rice in 2021, the report added.
