Amir Ali Muallem, who participated in Asreh Omid Event, which was an scientific festival held by the Islamic Azad University in Tehran in late May, told ANA on the sidelines of the event that 3D printer filament machine was produced by the their team of researchers in the incubator center of Islamic Azad University, Khomeynishahr branch.

According to Muallem, the machine has the ability to produce various filaments such as ABS, PLA, PET-G, NYLON with the highest quality.

The researcher said that, given the growing use of 3D printers, the Asreh Omid Event gives them the opportunity to present their product and accelerate the industrial production of the device by attracting investors.

As regards the Khomeynishahr Islamic Azad University's support for their team, he said, "Islamic Azad University's growth center gave the company a location and we were able to use the place for construction and planning, and the laboratory and workshop facilities of the university were also of great help."

Mehran Salehi, the head of R&D department of the technology core (company), also told ANA that 3D printer filament devices with digital image processing and artificial intelligence can measure and control the diameter of the filament with an error of less than 0.05 mm, and can measure the quality of the output and produce high-quality filament.

Moreover, Mohammad Amirmohammadi, the head of the business and sales of the technology core, told ANA correspondent that the overall global value market of 3D printer filaments is about $17 billion and added, the value of the market of this product is expected to grow four times in the next 10 years.

Amirmohammadi added that investment in their project can make considerable income for the country through exports.

The national Asreh Omid Event was held in late May in Tehran’s Grand Mosalla with the participation of 3,000 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams and startups.
