“My Ph.D. thesis was about organic supplements of manganese and zinc, and we focused on two issues, first, the production of eggs enriched with manganese and zinc and these elements can enter the body via eggs,” Mohammad Reza Khoshbin told ANA on the sidelines of Asreh Omid Event in Tehran.

“These two elements are important for the body and manganese and zinc can form the first defense barrier of the body against free radicals and prevent cancer in humans by forming superoxide and tri mutase enzymes. If we can bring manganese and zinc into the body with food, we will have a higher natural absorption compared to pills and chemicals,” he added.

“In the second step, I witnessed that when the laying hens units in the country reach the end of production period, the shells of the eggs grow thin and fragile, and a lot of damage is caused to the hen farmer, and he/she is forced to slaughter the laying hens and enter the pellet cycle again, and this causes great damage to the laying hen industry in the country,” Khoshbin said.

He noted that certain methods can be used to make the egg shells stronger in old hens and extend the egg production period up to 120 weeks, adding, “This supplement has a positive effect on both shell’s strength and egg production, and with this supplement, you can prevent the imports of foreign supplements and help the laying hen industry in Iran.”

Islamic Azad University's "second step of revolution" under the title of Asreh Omid Event was held in Tehran's Mosalla from May 29 to June 01, 2022 to exhibit new achievements, equipment and products in the technological and innovation arenas in line with opening new windows towards strengthening the idea of creating ground for knowledge-based businesses at the 40th anniversary of establishment of the Islamic Azad University.
