The Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) announced that production of steel in Iran has risen 16 percent in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year as compared to the same period of time in the past year.

It added that Iran has produced 18.268 million tons of steel in the seven-month period.

Iran’s steel industry has been constantly developing over the past years against all the pressures and obstacles created by outside forces like the US sanctions and the coronavirus outbreak that has severely affected the performance of the world’s top producers.

According to World Steel Association, Iran is the world’s 10th biggest producer of crude steel.

China is the world’s largest producer.

The World Steel Association is one of the largest and most dynamic industrial associations with members in every major steel-producing country.

The WSA represents steel producers, national and regional steel industry associations and steel research institutes. Members represent around 85% of global steel production.
