The Iranian side signed the agreement with a Belarusian company for exporting more than $3 million worth of Iran-made medical equipment.

The products include ICU ventilators and accessories, various types of monitoring, and electroshock devices.

The Iranian knowledge-based company is a member of the Medical Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters Union, which has so far exported products to more than 50 countries.

Over 7,000 knowledge-based and 1,600 creative companies have so far been registered and started operations, according to the vice president’s office for science and technology.

Iran is currently exporting medical equipment to 63 countries, including the European, Asian, and South American states, Director General of the Iranian Food and Drug Administration (IFDA) for Medical Equipment Affairs Rouhollah Mazinani said last year

Nearly 45 percent of the country’s requirements in the field of medical, dentistry, laboratory, clinical, hospital equipment, and related industries are produced inside the country in line with the policy of reducing imports, Mazinani said.
