Over Hundred Innovative Ideas in Iran's Mining Industry Submitted to INNOMINE 2024

TEHRAN (ANA)- A total number of 108 new ideas were submitted to the jury of the 4th edition of INNOMINE 2024 hosted by Iran National Innovation Fund (INIF).

The fourth edition of INNOMINE 2024 that had brought together the brightest minds in Iran's mining sector was held at the compound of Iran National Innovation Fund (INIF) in Tehran on February 13-15, 2024. More than 100 knowledge-based and technological companies operating in the mining industry had taken part in the event. About 310 ideas had been attracted and among them, 12 best ideas were identified and awarded at the end of the event.

The primary objective of INNOMINE is to identify and recognize technological innovators within the mining sector. By creating opportunities for startups and commercializing top ideas, the event aims to attract investment and foster collaboration among industry stakeholders.

​Showcasing 108 groundbreaking initiatives and unveiling 117 new mineral zones, the event aimed to foster collaboration, attract investment, and transform the sector's landscape.

In the fourth edition of the conference, a call for attracting ideas with 10 main axes has been issued that include: circular mining economy, mining, green economy and productivity, clean energy, new technologies or methods of exploration, new technologies of exploitation and extraction, new technologies of mineral processing, new technologies in localization, new technologies in problem detection, new technologies in the field of the 4th generation mining industry and the use of new technologies and equipment. 300 ideas were submitted on the INNOMINE system, of which 108 ideas were directed to the judging section of the event.

The ideas, judged at the INNOMINE 2024 conference, will be selected based on the technology readiness levels (TRLs) of the idea makers in 4 sections including budding, grafting, growth and flourishing. "Budding section" include 40 ideas from university researchers, students and professionals, "grafting section" with 28 ideas including technological or innovative centers and startups, "Growth section" with 19 ideas including startups and newly-established businesses and “Flourishing section" with 21 ideas  that include knowledge-based and creative companies.
