“The integrated management system of academic and industrial systems has been working since 8 years ago and they are connected in an integrated way and can be used in the research, educational, industrial, etc. fields. Different branches of Islamic Azad University and other universities of Iran are using this system,” Yousef Sedaqat, a faculty member of Islamic Azad University’s Bushehr branch and the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.

“System integration is a distinctive feature of our knowledge-based company's web-based systems. We have worked on 18 systems. These systems record the information of students or industrialists in one system which can be monitored in other systems too,” he added.

Sedaqat went on to say that “for instance, if a student of Islamic Azad University participates in a training course using our training course system, he/she can report on his/her information and data and the information can be seen by the other systems too”.

Earlier, in June, another knowledge-based company in Iran had also designed management information system (MIS) that can fully mechanize different organizations in terms of production control, general engineering, proposal system, etc.

"This company operates in the field of Management Information System (MIS) and designs Industrial softwares,” Alireza Safaei, the managing director of a knowledge-based company ‘Vosough Omid Gostaran’ based at the Islamic Azad University's Ahvaz branch, told ANA.

“This integrated computerized system consists of a group of connected and related software that records the data of different departments at an organization and gives the necessary information to support operations and decision-making by managers at different levels,” he added.

“Our MIS is especially designed for petrochemical industries; but it is also used in other industries. We have supplied this locally-made product to two petrochemical companies so far. This system has the management information of 16 subsystems that are linked to each other in an integrated way,” the managing director of the knowledge-based company further said.

"This software can completely mechanize an industry in terms of production control, general engineering, laboratory, proposals/suggestions system, etc.,” Safaei added.
