In March, Ukraine's foreign deposits jumped by 18 percent driven by international aid. The country received about 9.3 billion dollars from foreign partners, including 4.9 billion dollars from the European Union and 1.6 billion dollars from the World Bank, said the NBU.

In the same month, Ukraine spent about 728 million dollars to cover its obligations to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and some 363 million dollars to service and repay the public debt.

Currently, Ukraine's international reserves are enough to cover 5.8 months of the country's imports.

Ukraine's foreign reserves stood at about 40.5 billion dollars in 2023, up 42 percent from 2022.
