“This system allows monitoring the health conditions of rescue teams and controlling the location and distance to the nearest safe point at the time of an accident like fire and building collapse,” Mehdi Mo’azzen Alavi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.

The device can resolve one of the most challenging problems caused by the collapse of buildings and large-scale fires during crises and accidents in urban areas, and the exact location of rescue forces can be found and their health status can be monitored during mission.

The system is able to report the rescue workers’ heart rate and oxygen level, and they can transmit information about the accident environment with the help of a button mounted on their uniforms.

A positioning system is a system for determining the position of an object. One of the most well-known and commonly used positioning systems is the Global Positioning System (GPS).

Positioning system technologies exist ranging from worldwide coverage with meter accuracy to workspace coverage with sub-millimeter accuracy.
