Emami said that his company has recently started exporting its products to some Asian countries, adding, “Potential customers in Vietnam and Pakistan have also voiced their readiness to purchase our products.”

During a recent visit of a high-ranking Iranian delegation to Indonesia headed by Iranian President Ebrahim Rayeesi, the officials of the two countries inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to supply medical equipment made in Iran to 12 hospitals in the biggest Muslim country.

Mohammad Mousavi, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade made the comments during a visit to the 24th International Exhibition of Medical, Dental, Laboratory and Pharmaceutical Equipment known as Iran Health.

“Despite the significant growth of exports in 1401 (March 21, 2022- March 20, 2023), this industry (medical equipment industry) could export about $30 million worth of goods,” the deputy industry minister said.

He said that the ministry is resolved to support the increase in production of medical equipment in order to increase exports.

“Supporting the development of the export of high quality and competitive products made in Iran to other markets is one of the main priorities of this Ministry,” Mousavi underscored further.
